Affiliations.
What is an affiliation? Affiliations are groups to which all characters belong. There are six in total, each with their own goals, alligence and abilities. They also have histories, explaining how the group was founded and what they have been doing since the end of the First War, and, in some cases, prior to that. The entries also list the leader and important members of the affiliances, which are avaliable as Canon characters to players.
Each affiliation has Key Worlds and Locked Worlds. Key Worlds have some link to the affiliation, one of which is usually their headquarters. Locked Worlds, on the other hand, cannot be assessed by members of the affiliations unless aided by a member on an affiliation with it as their Key World. This is easier for some affiliations, such as the Twilight Survivor's Group, who are generally helpful, but more difficult for the agressive affiliations, such as the New Organization and Maleficent's Heartless.
Natives, on the other hand, function slightly differently. They have no leaders, notable members, alligences, organization, or key worlds. However, in place of key worlds, they select one which is also their homeworld. They do, however, have locked worlds, which function in the same way as normal locked worlds do.

Heroes of Light Defenders of good, the Heroes of Light refuse to let the light go out. Willing to die for their cause, these people are strong of heart and courage, and together form as formidable a team as they do alone.
Leaders: King Mickey, Sora. Notable Members: Donald Duck, Goofy, Kairi, Riku.
History: The Heroes of Light proved themselves twice before the First War, with Sora, Riku and Kairi helping to stop Ansem the Heartless and Xemnas the Nobody alongside King Mickey, Donald and Goofy. However, when the three were separated following their last victory, King Mickey decreed that Destiny Islands, and contact with Sora, Riku and Kairi, should be cut off and that world protected from the darkness. However, when the Radiant Garden Protection Committee succeeded in linking the world, King Mickey knew it was time to act. He began to organize knew Heroes of Light to fight the oncoming darkness. As he did so, and issued them with special keychains, Donald and Goofy took off to reunite Sora, Riku and Kairi to the worlds, and bring the Heroes of Light back. United as a group, the old and new heroes were preparing to face a new wave of darkness.
Alligences: Radiant Garden Protection Committee, Twilight Survivor‘s Committee. Organization: The Heroes of Light are perhaps the loosest group of all. Whilst many are free to choose their own actions, the Heroes of Light act on their hearts. Whilst the leaders do not interfere, they are always willing to become involved in the fight against evil and offer their advice.
Membership Benefits: Heroes of Light are the only group able to wield the Keychains: more minor versions of Keyblades. However, King Mickey, Sora and Riku can wield Keyblades themselves. They are also the group who finds it easiest to access Gummi Ships.
Key Worlds: Destiny Islands, Disney Castle. Locked Worlds: Castle Oblivion, The World That Never Was.

Maleficent‘s Heartless Led by the evil witch, Maleficent's Heartless are willing to stop at nothing to control the worlds. Convinced they are in total control, they know no fear with the Heartless at their beck and call.
Leaders: Maleficent. Notable Members: Pete.
History: After the destruction of Organization XIII, Maleficent was convinced she could at last gain total control over the Heartless. Taking the Castle That Never Was for her own, he focused her efforts on domination of the Heartless. However, this cost her and Pete being sealed in the World That Never Was. Regardless of this minor setback, she at last gained control even at their close proximity to the darkness, and from there succeeded in opening the gate back to Twilight Town. Amassing her army of Heartless, she lay siege to the world on the other side of the gateway, taking control with only minor resistance. From there, she sent her Heartless along the Corridors of Darkness, invading other worlds. As she did, she sent Pete to recruit new members to serve her.
Alligences: Heartless. Organization: In this organization, Maleficent is the leader. Members obey her without question. From her, Pete is second-in-command, acting as a bodyguard and general in her army. Below Pete, other members act as officers, controlling Heartless. To seek an audience with Maleficent, members must go through Pete.
Membership Benefits: Members of Maleficent’s Heartless gain control over Heartless. They cannot be attacked by Heartless, unless ordered to be by another member of Maleficent’s Heartless or Maleficent herself. Also, they are one of the few groups with access to The World That Never Was.
Key Worlds: The World That Never Was, Twilight Town. Locked Worlds: Destiny Islands, Castle Oblivion.

Leaders: Dabyr. Notable Members: Sanayns, Tenvys, Yiun.
History: Whilst the Heroes of Good fought against Organization XIII, other Nobodies were forgotten, many with the same powers as Organization XIII themselves. Dabyr, one such Nobody, lay in wait outside Castle Oblivion, watching the Organization gain power. When Sora, however, defeated the owner of the castle, he saw his chance. Dabyr took the castle for himself, making it the headquarters and recruiting three other Nobodies, Sanayns, Tenvys and Yiun. Using the cover of the war between Organization XIII, Maleficent and the Heroes of Light, the four recruited new, powerful Nobodies. After the downfall of Organization XIII, they chose their moment to act, naming themselves the New Organization. however, still they remained in hiding. When Maleficent finally attacked Twilight Town, they decided to also attack, making themselves known to the worlds.
Alligences: Nobodies. Organization: The new Organization is an extremely hierarchical society, as Organization XIII was before them. Each member is issued a number, based on the order in which they join, as well as their weapon of choice. Dabyr is #1, Sanayns is #2, Tenvys is #3, and Yiun #4. Members must obey Dabyr, or any member with a higher number than them.
Membership Benefits: Members of the New Organization gain the benefit of control over a small number of Nobodies, and also will not be attacked by Nobodies unless ordered by another member of the New Organization. They are also the only group able to access Castle Oblivion, and don’t need use of a Gummi Ship to reach all worlds except for the following: Locked Worlds, The World That Never Was, Twilight Town.

Radiant Garden Protection Committee Once the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee, these brave citizens have fought the Heartless and Nobodies on all fronts. now, they are dedicated to keeping their own world safe, as well as the worlds of others.
Leaders: Aerith, Cid, Leon, Merlin, Yuffie. Notable Members: Cloud, Paine, Rikku, Tifa, Tron, Yuna.
History: Following the defeat of Organization XIII, the Heartless and the MCP, the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee voted to change the name of the city to it's previous name; Radiant Garden. For a while, they had a peaceful life, spending their days working on new defenses for the town, as well as improving their way of life. However, one day, whilst researching archived files on Ansem's Computer, they stumbled across a program for developing Gummi Ships. The committee met, agreeing that they should help connect the worlds using them. As they did, however, King Mickey told them that, if they could use these routes between the worlds, so could their enemies. It was about that time that Maleficent and the New Organization came to light. Under strict orders by the King to protect their own world, the committee retreated to Radiant Gardens, only to fight Heartless and Nobodies already running amock among the streets.
Alligences: Heroes of Light, Twilight Survivor’s Group. Organization: The Radiant Garden Protection Committee is organized into two tiers. Firstly are the ‘Committee’ members, who consist of Aerith, Cid, Leon, Merlin, and Yuffie. Below them are the citizens who are also members. As well as this, each member is dedicated to defending a certain district of Radiant Garden. There are three districts: Bailey, Castle and Town.
Membership Benefits: Members of the Radiant Garden Protection Committee can gain access to Ansem’s Computer, as well as Gummi Ships, easier than many other groups.
Key Worlds: Radiant Gardens, Traverse Town. Locked Worlds: Castle Oblivion, The World That Never Was.

Twilight Survivor’s Group (TSG) The only remaining natives of Twilight Town, this small band of heroes fight to survive the harsh landscape that was once their home. As they do, they aid good travellers who need it.
Leaders: Hayner, Olette, Pence. Notable Members: Fuu, Rai, Seifer, Setzer, Vivi.
History: The Twilight Survivor's Committee began on the same day as Maleficent's Heartless invaded Twilight Town. On that day, the Struggle was taking place, and the whole town was in the Sandbox at the time. As the final battle began, the Heartless broke through into the town, attacking all in sight. Grabbing weapons, Hayner, Siefer, Setzer and Rai prepared to defend the town. Together, they, Pence, Olette, Rai, Fuu and Vivi and some others fled to the Usual Spot, doing their best to defend people. However, they were the only ones to survive the onslaught. Until now, they have been focused on surviving the dangers of Twilight Town, and trying their best to help others when they needed it.
Alligences: Heroes of Light, Radiant Garden Protection Committee. Organization: The TSG is perhaps the smallest, and so closest, organization of them all. Whilst all members have a say in proceedings, Kayner, Pence and Olette are usually considered the overall leaders, having the deciding votes in the events of ballot ties and such. The group is also sub-divided into four different roles. These roles consist of Combatants, Escorts, Intelligence, Sneakers. Combatants fight Heartless when needed, Escorts help new arrivals from other worlds who need it, Intelligence gather information on Maleficent's Heartless, and Sneakers find new routes around the town.
Membership Benefits: Members of the TSG are the most likely to be able to find aid. They are also one of the few groups able to get into The World That Never Was, due to their close proximity to it.
Key Worlds: Twilight Town, The World That Never Was. Locked Worlds: All Other.

Natives Citizens of the worlds, natives live for themselves, going as they please and with who they choose. They are free people who make their own choices, though some would have that change…
Leaders: None. Notable Members: None.
History: For as long as there have been worlds, there have been people to inhabit them. Natives have no history as a group, they simply live in peace with one another, even if they do not particularly like each other. Since the worlds became connected, however, natives from different worlds have mingled freely into other societies. While there are still places they cannot go, they go most places, keen to explore.
Alligences: None. Organization: Natives have no organization.
Membership Benefits: Natives, as they do not belong to any groups and have no set agenda, have the most freedom to move around the worlds. Provided they can barter passage on a Gummi Ship, they can travel almost everywhere.
Key Worlds: Homeworld. Locked Worlds: Castle Oblivion, The World That Never Was.
